By Lori Martinez
As Covid-19 cases continue to rise throughout the state, New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan-Grisham has amended a public health order regarding Covid-19. Indoor seating at restaurants and Brew Pubs will once again be restricted, effective Monday, July 13, 2020.
Patio and outdoor seating continues to be permitted, but only at 50% occupancy. Restaurants can also continue with carryout, curbside, delivery services. Breweries can continue offering curb-side pickup services.
The other amendment to the public health order is that State Parks will be closed to all out of state residents. Visitors will have to show proof of residency (State ID). Camping at State Parks is remains prohibited. Parks are for day use only.
Schools opening in the fall continues to be a large issue of discussion and will be determined in the future based on how New Mexico is doing with the Covid-19 crisis.
